No. Everything that is required is included in the SolarImmersion package.
Can SolarImmersion support slave units?
Yes, SolarImmersion can support slave units. (Required to buy an additional mod to enable this feature. Please contact us)
Can SolarImmersion support multiple loads?
Yes, SolarImmersion can support multiple loads for example when the water is hot enough and the thermostat cuts off a second load could be activated eg. for auxiliary heating.
Does SolarImmersion makes noise?
No, SolarImmersion works silently.
Can several SolarImmersion units work together?
Yes, several SolarImmersion could communicate with each other to work together.
What is the warranty on the unit?
SolarImmersion comes with a 1 year repair or replacement warranty.
What is the minimum export power required for the SolarImmersion to divert the power?
SolarImmersion could start working and divert the surplus even with a 10W export power. The unit will wait until the export level reaches 10W before diverting the surplus to the immersion. The settings could however be controlled using jumper settings in the switch itself.
Could the sensor cable be extended?
Yes, the sensor cable could be extended up to 50m. Use a twisted pair data cable for this purpose.
Will SolarImmersion works with hydro and wind turbines?
Yes, SolarImmersion works with all sorts of grid-tied micro generation systems.
What is the minimum or maximum PV system size that SolarImmersion supports?
SolarImmersion works on PV systems starting from 500W. There is no upper limit regarding the PV system however, for a large system (PV capacity of more than 4kW), several SolarImmersion units could be attached together to utilize surplus power above 3kW.
Can SolarImmersion works with other appliances?
Yes. SolarImmersion could be used to control a variety of resistive appliances like underfloor heating, storage heaters, electric radiators etc.
Whats is the maximum load SolarImmersion could support?
The SolarImmersion unit could safely handle up to a 3kW load.

Will SolarImmersion work with a combi-boiler?
Yes. SolarImmersion could be used with a combi-boiler, but will need a pre-heat tank on the heating circuit. A plumber may be needed in this case.
